Our Advent Calendar Collection: 2019–2026

For years, JP’s Delights has been turning the holiday countdown into a daily flavor adventure.  Our Advent Calendars are a celebration of everything we love about preserving: discovering unexpected combinations, sharing good food, creating something by hand, and finding a little delight in each day. Instead of chocolate behind every door, our calendars invite you to explore a collection of small-batch preserves, each one offering another opportunity to taste something familiar, discover something new, or find a flavor you never knew you needed.

Every year brings a different adventure.  Our Advent Calendars have evolved along with JP’s Delights, reflecting our creativity, our ever-changing collection of preserves, seasonal ingredients, international inspirations, and the wonderfully unpredictable nature of small-batch making. Some flavors are sweet, savory, spicy, alcohol-infused, and some may take your taste buds somewhere completely unexpected.  That is part of the fun.  You never quite know what you are going to find behind the next door.

2019

Our Advent Calendar journey began in 2019, the same year JP’s Delights officially started our own adventure.  It was a chance to share our love of preserves in a completely different way and introduce customers to the idea that a jar of fruit could be so much more than something to spread on toast. Each little portion was an invitation to taste,  experiment, and discover what JP’s Delights was all about.  Flavors can include Cherry Scotch Bonnet Jam, Apple Chutney, Pear Honey, Monkey Butter, Blueberry Preserves, and Butternut Squash Marmalade.

2020

In 2020, our Advent Calendar became another way to bring a little variety and enjoyment to the holiday season. With small-batch preserves tucked behind each day, the calendar encouraged you to slow down, open a door, and enjoy a different flavor. It was a delicious reminder that even during an unusual year, there was still room for curiosity, good food, and a little everyday delight.  Flavors can include Watermelon Jalapeño Jam, Spiked & Spiced Pumpkin Apple Butter, Sangria Jelly, Tutti Frutti Bramble Jam, Strawberry Jam, and Whiskey, Ginger, & Grand Marnier Marmalade.

2021

By 2021, our Advent Calendar had become part of the JP’s Delights holiday tradition. We continued exploring the many possibilities of preserving, bringing together flavors and combinations that reflected our belief that food should be fun. Each day offered another little taste adventure, making the countdown as much about discovery as it was about anticipation.  Flavors can include Coffee Jelly, Fire Wine Jelly, Nectarine Preserves, Rosé Jelly, Berry Mango Jam, and Black Forest Preserves.

2022

Our 2022 Advent Calendar continued the tradition with even more opportunities to explore the world of preserves. From familiar favorites to more adventurous combinations, each day brought another small-batch surprise. It was designed for curious food lovers who enjoy trying something different and for anyone who believes that the best gifts are the ones you can eat, share, and talk about.  Flavors can include Chardonnay Jelly, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Preserves, Dragon Fruit Jam, Plum Chutney, Roasted Pear & Garlic Preserves, and Southern Blend Amaretto Jam.

2023

In 2023, we continued our annual flavor adventure with another collection of handcrafted preserves.  Our Advent Calendar reflects what makes JP’s Delights different: variety, creativity, small-batch craftsmanship, and flavors inspired by our love of food and cultures from around the world. Behind every door was another excuse to taste something delicious and perhaps discover a new favorite.  Flavors can include Watermelon Konfyt, New York Sour Jelly, Stone Fruits Jam, Peach Preserves, Pumpkin Spice Jam, and Blackberry Jam.

2024

Our 2024 Advent Calendar brought another year of experimentation and discovery to the holiday season. With our ever-changing selection of preserves, the calendar offered food lovers a chance to experience a variety of flavors in a single collection. It is a little taste of the JP’s Delights philosophy: try something new, enjoy the unexpected, and let your taste buds lead the way.  Flavors can include Basil's Grapefruit Marmalade, Champagne Jelly, Mixed Cherries & Berries Preserves, Rosemary's Inferno Jelly, Sunday Morning Smoothie Jam, and Tipsy Bean Jelly.

2025

The 2025 Advent Calendar continued our tradition of making the holiday countdown deliciously unpredictable. Every small-batch preserve offered another opportunity to explore the range of flavors that make JP’s Delights unique.  Whether you opened a door hoping to find a favorite or wondering what in the world we had created this time, the goal was the same: make every day a little more delicious.  Flavors can include Baked Peach & Vermouth Jam, Cherry Good Thyme Preserves, Guava Jam, Nectarine Chutney, Plum Lekvar, and Passion Fruit Jam.

2026

Our 2026 Advent Calendar marks another chapter in the JP’s Delights flavor adventure.  After years of creating unusual preserves, experimenting with ingredients, and introducing our customers to flavors from near and far, we continue to believe that there is no better way to celebrate the season than with good food and a sense of curiosity.  Each day brings another small-batch taste, another possibility, and another reason to say, “I wonder what's behind tomorrow's door?”  Flavors can include Spiced Pear Chutney, Banana Split Jam, Cherry Preserves, Guanabana Jam, Serrano Jelly, and Hawaiian POG Jam.

A Different Kind of Countdown

Our Advent Calendars are more than a countdown to Christmas.  They are a countdown to discovery.  They make wonderful gifts for adventurous eaters, preserve enthusiasts, foodies, curious cooks, and anyone who enjoys opening a little surprise each day.  They can be shared with family and friends, incorporated into breakfast or brunch, paired with cheese and crackers, used to create something in the kitchen, or enjoyed straight from the spoon.  There are no rules when it comes to a JP’s Delights flavor adventure.

Each calendar is produced in limited quantities, and because our preserves are made in small batches, every year's collection is part of a particular moment in the story of JP’s Delights. Once that year's calendar is gone, that particular adventure becomes part of our history.

What started in 2019 as a few handmade holiday Advent calendar boxes has become one of our favorite annual traditions at JP’s Delights.  Every year, we create a completely different Advent Calendar designed around the same idea: turning the countdown to Christmas into a 24-day flavor adventure.  We've built Christmas trees, sent Santa on delivery duty, created gingerbread villages, hidden surprises inside mysterious packages, and transformed the Advent countdown into miniature holiday worlds.  No two editions are quite alike.  Our Advent Calendars are about anticipation, curiosity, discovery, and the little moments that make the holiday season memorable.  They are handmade with the same imagination and attention to detail that goes into our preserves.  And every year, we ask ourselves the same question: What can we possibly come up with next?  That's part of the adventure.
